Welcome to Treasureland! PDF Print E-mail

kid-1Welcome to Treasureland, the children's ministry at Keystone. What makes us unique? We want to help families develop a Christ centered base that, in God's timing will lead a child into a growing relationship with Him.

We teach children not only to understand biblical truths, but how to live them out in their everyday lives. We promise to be Bible-based, child-centered, relational, relevant, creative, and of course… fun!

Every week at Keystone everyone learns the same Big Idea. Parents and kids learn the same Biblical concept in age-appropriate environments.

Our hope is that this will help equip families to continue spiritual discussions at home. You can pick up resources each weekend that will help your kids apply what they learned.

The weekly Big Ideas are reinforced by key Biblical principles that appear in every lesson....

Our youngest kids learn...

  • God is good
  • Jesus loves me
  • God made me

As they grow...

  • God keeps his promises
  • Jesus wants to be my friend
  • God wants me to obey
  • Be kind to each other
  • God made me special

And our elementary age kids learn...

  • I can trust God no matter what
  • Jesus is always with me
  • I need to make the wise choice
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated
  • I have a role to play on God’s team

Treasureland Values PDF Print E-mail

Our children's teams create an environment open to the teachings of Jesus Christ through five basic values...

Faith-Based...
We believe that entering into a relationship with Jesus Christ is often a process-oriented experience, not necessarily an event. To facilitate this experience, TreasureLand ministries will provide programming and role modeling which will allow the Holy Spirit to work in both the hearts and minds of a child.

Child-Centered...
Children are important to God, and therefore important to TreasureLand. We are committed to providing age appropriate activities, which have Biblical meaning and are fun. TreasureLand leaders recognize that many children who attend are from unchurched homes and have a variety of spiritual backgrounds. For this reason, the weekly lessons are designed to be independent of one another. Children are not expected to have any previous knowledge of the lesson prior to coming.

Relational...
We believe relationship building is a powerful two-part tool. First, leaders will take an interest in building relationships with children. God made each child unique and different. TreasureLand ministries will respect each child’s differences and will provide opportunities to get to know each child individually. Second, TreasureLand ministries will provides a place and time where each child can talk to and listen to God so they can get to know God in a personal way.

Creative...
There are many ways to attract and hold children’s attention. TreasureLand ministries will use a variety of methods to communicate the Gospel creatively. TreasureLand will also allow children to choose from a variety of activities so they are able to express their creativity. In TreasureLand, children often get a first impression of God and the church. If children perceive TreasureLand as a fun and safe place, they will want to come back.

Relevant...
Children need opportunities to apply the Bible to their daily lives. TreasureLand ministries will encourage children to express their personal thoughts and feelings in response to the TreasureLand teaching that day.

Extreme Zone Kids PDF Print E-mail

K-5th (Eastside) and K-3rd (Spaulding)

Extreme Zone kids participate in programming that is varied in presentation and appeals to multiple intelligences. Time is spent in both large and small group settings. The music is contemporary. Bible stories are presented through drama and DVD. Bible verses are memorized in groups and games are played to demonstrate the lesson theme.

For the same reason that Jesus gave His attention to kids, we believe kids grow best when nurtured by loving mentors and leaders. Leaders in Extreme Zone seek to accomplish this by forming age based small groups. In small groups kids explore the real-life connection to God's Word, build relationships with other kids and with their adult leaders.

4-5th grades (Spaulding)

Small groups are a major focus for this group of 4 & 5th graders at the Spaulding Campus. In small group settings leaders explore with kids the ‘real-life' connection to God's Word, ask and answer questions about Jesus and build relationships with them. Home activities are provided to extend their lesson focus throughout the week. A weekend at Spring Hill Camp, serving events and other social events that take place though out the year , combine to make High Definition one awesome experience for kids! All of this is presented by a team of strong leaders and committed volunteers who intentionally shepherd kids in their spiritual growth. High Definition happens on Sunday mornings at the Spaulding Campus.
